My kids are really “working my nerves” today. I almost wish that I could lock them outside like the mother did in Sedaris’ “Let It Snow”. Just kidding, but I do wish I could have some peace and quiet today. I don’t know if it’s me, but for some reason they seem to be extra loud today. As I sit here now, I hear the tv in my son’s room and the tv and computer in my daughter’s room. I have told them to turn their tvs down, but that has gone in one ear and out the other.

My son had another good week at school. Nothing major enough to get a conduct report sent home. We still have things to work on, but he is definitely making progress.

Both of my kids have field trips next week that I won’t be able to go to. :( On Tuesday, my daughter is going to the Red River Revel and I can’t go because I have class. I can’t go to my son’s trip to the Corn Maize on Friday because I have to work. Oh well. The only thing that matters is that they have fun while there.

  1. I know how children can work your nerves. My daughteer is two, so there is no going in her room and entertaing herself. I love October, with the Revel and the corn maize. I love everything about fall. I hope you have a better week, and your kiddos have fun!

  2. Hang in there. If you can lock yourself in the bathroom for twenty minutes, you might preserve your sanity!
